About this course

Welcome to the first new Guide to Yoga course. A regular yoga practice (Sadhana) involves developing a positive pattern to grow in yoga and in one’s self. This transformation can be quite simple, improved health, the management of stress, and a more functional life. Over time other aims may evolve, but this is where we all begin.

Build a regular yoga practice step by step. Get to know the how and why of the essential yoga practices needed to provide support through daily life.

These include:

  • Physical movement - Asana that are simple and efficient, keeping the body in shape and over time building flexibility, strength and stamina.

  • Breathing - Pranayama. Learn to harness the breath to support better health, stress relief and build personal capacity.

  • Relaxation - Yoga Nidra to let go of tensions in body and mind, and create a profound ease. Yoga Nidra will make a difference to engaging with the challenges of each day.

  • Attitude - working with yoga qualities. Turn the events of everyday living into opportunities for seeing things differently. Gain deeper understanding, insight and skills for engaging more constructively with life.

Requires no previous experience, weekly live classes supported by online learning resources.
