A residential program from Sunday afternoon January 12 to Friday 1.30pm January 17
A practical week of yoga classes, meditation, kirtan, community building, stimulating talks and workshops around theme of developing courage and trust in oneself with the support of yoga. For those with some prior experience in yoga.
What we have faith in defines who we are. World civilisation, today's culture, and ourselves as human beings, need to have faith in spirituality, love, truth, beauty. All the positive qualities like courage and magnanimity are just as much real parts of us as inner enemies such as hatred and greed. We have been given practices to heighten awareness, connect with inner luminosity, and the ability to understand and transform ourselves. The practices are not intellectual; they are practical, simple, based on self-awareness, an open mind and heart. This restores faith in life itself and gives courage to follow our intuitive higher nature, living the divine life.
Swami Yogakanti
Morning asana pranayama and meditation classes, mantra, daily yoga nidra, afternoon pranayama and meditation, evening bhajan and kirtan. A number of highly experienced teachers will lead these classes including Swami Atmamuktananda.
Trust in yoga sadhana
Swami Vimalratna will present the first daily workshop with talks and tasks to explore from Bhagavad Gita chap 16 and 17. The focus will be on reflecting on these verses, searching for self understanding and pathways for implementation in daily life.
Trust in yourself
Swami Yogakanti will present the second daily workshop exploring Shraddha with the focus on finding courage and strength through yoga practices, developing skills to better discern and guide one's own life towards a full and rich expression.
There will be times to be involved in the daily life of the ashram, working together to foster community and connection. This will include a time each afternoon engaged in a task in the ashram environment with a focus related to the themes of the week.
The week will provide plenty of opportunities to meet and share with others with a love of yoga. Together we strengthen and support one another. We will eat, explore the ashram environment, do classes, and sing together.
Meals, teaching sessions, and share accommodation are all included in the low subsidised fee. A limited range of private rooms is available with an additional surcharge. (Apply directly through the ashram for bedding and private room options, LINK).
We are happy to discuss this course with you
